ABOUT MINDROOM / Dr. Pierre 'Red' Beauchamp
Dr. Pierre ‘Red’ Beauchamp is an internationally renowned sport performance coach and Founder of Peak Sport Performance MindRoom. Dr. Beauchamp holds a doctorate in Sports Psychology (University of Montreal) and Masters/Bachelors’ degrees from McGill University. A former McGill varsity hockey player, Pierre has over thirty-five years of coaching (football, hockey, track, golf) and consulting experience as a Mental Performance Coach to Canadian National and Olympic Teams.
Dr. Beauchamp’s groundbreaking sport science MindRoom has achieved world-wide recognition through the utilization of cutting edge technology to enhance sport performance and to prepare elite athletes to perform on demand and under pressure.
At the core of PSP MindRoom is an empirically based data driven program that drives intervention decision-making. This integrated sport science program will assess, educate, train, simulate and evaluate every step of the process towards performance enhancement with accountability built into the program. From an athlete perspective, PSP MindRoom empowers athletes through self-mastery by giving athletes feedback on a real time basis. Consequently, athletes move through a skill acquisition process becoming more confident and focused in their preparation and performance.
PSP Mindroom utilizes state of the art technology similar to that utilized at AC Milan FC and Chelsea FC. This technology has been utilized in North America by US Navy Seals Special Forces and at the NASA, Own the Podium Top Secret program and Short Track Speedskating. Specifically, athletes acquire skills in Reaction Time, Vision Training, Decision Training, Biofeedback, Neurofeedback, Mental Skills, and Resilience training.
Dr. Beauchamp has worked with hundreds of world-class performers from: Canadian Olympic Short Track Speedskating Team, Canadian Olympic Ski Cross Team, Canadian Olympic Aerial Ski Team, Canadian Olympic Mogul Ski Team, National Para-Cycling Team, National Karate & Take Won Do Teams, P.G.A Tour and CPGA Tour golf professionals, Belleville Bulls, Players Forsyth Racing Team, etc.
Pierre is a professional member of the following organizations: Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), Applied Association for Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) and the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA). Pierre has also presented research and conducted coaching conferences at a variety of National and International conferences and symposiums throughout the world.
